Margaret Latonio Manager, HMSA Dr. Margaret Latonio has worked at Hawaii Medical Services Association (HMSA) for 10+ years in the Business Configuration and Implementation Services (BCIS) department. Her project work has included process reengineering and requirements management for the implementation of custom software. Margaret also serves as a member of HMSA’s Requirements Center of Excellence (COE) where she has contributed to the development and rollout (communication and training) of enterprise standards and processes. Margaret’s current team consists of configuration specialists, process advisors, and business analysts. Over the past two years, Margaret has focused on the development and implementation of a Business Analyst (BA) development program within the BCIS department and is currently rolling out this BA program enterprise-wide. In 2015, HMSA’s Requirements Center of Excellence (COE) adopted several of the BA program’s materials and continues to work closely with Margaret’s team on continuous improvement. Through the program and the joint partnership with the COE, BCIS’s BAs have executed BA activities consistently, resulting in improved quality and timeliness on projects. Margaret recently led the formation of the Business Analysis COE at HMSA. She also serves as the Vice President of the newly chartered IIBA Hawaii chapter. When not in the office, Margaret can be found running half marathons and enjoying time with her family.
