Monday October 30 11:15am to 12:15pm Credits: 1 PMI PDU - Leadership
There are so many tools, techniques and resources available for us to use and bodies of knowledge out there that prescribe them (PMBOK®, BABOK®, BIZBOK®, CrazyBOK…okay made that one up!). How do you approach your gauntlet of challenges as you lead the charge to provide business value to an organization? Reading how to do something is one thing but learning how to do it, applying it and then building upon your own skill set is a completely other side of the equation of these useful techniques.
This session will look at a number of practical tools and techniques that you can use to leverage in your project management and business analysis work while having fun and building stakeholder collaboration. WARNING – hands on participation may be included!!! But the goal of the session is to share with you how to approach some of these very useful techniques for successful outcomes in ways you may not have considered such that you approach your work with a new perspective, enjoyment and better results than may have traditionally encountered.
In this unique and interactive session, attendees will be walked through a set of some useful techniques, their purpose and advantages, highlighting example scenarios where they may be most effective. Each chosen technique will be illustrated with examples that will help each attendee to grasp that concept and application as well as the factors to help attendees apply the technique to their own initiatives.
Within the session, attendees should grasp an understanding of the techniques and tools with a comfort level that they can take back to their own teams and share the knowledge for even greater growth and bigger outcomes wherever their work may take them.
