Driving Innovation and Excellence using Process Maps
Type: Symposium Track Session Track: Shared/Leadership
Tuesday November 14 11:15am to 12:15pm Credits: 1 IIBA CDU
Innovation and excellence in any organization require first-rate communication. And first-rate communication requires both a common language and a shared understanding of work processes. At Seyfarth Shaw, process maps created with Visio and published to SharePoint provide both. At first Seyfarth’s process team met resistance from practitioners who were certain their work couldn’t be mapped, but 500 processes later, the firm leads their industry.
Demonstrate to skeptics in your organization that everyone wins when even “special” and “unique” processes are documented
Enhance communication and innovation by moving beyond flowcharts to create content-rich process maps
Make process maps accessible to everyone by using a combination of Visio, SharePoint, and any web browser
